Nubar passed away of a sudden illness with his wife Sharon Ott at his side. Raised in the Bronx in an Armenian Italian household, he attended Pratt Institute where he received a degree in architecture. He was a practicing architect for over five decades - a career which took him around the world.

He was a student of history and art, an avid reader and lifelong Yankees fan. He is survived by son and daughter-in-low Marc and Sarah Shahbazian and grandchildren, Hailey, Mia and Alden.
